The Brantford Sports Council hosted the Tournament Capital of Ontario 25th Anniversary Celebrations on Friday August 25 at the Walter Gretzky Golf Course

The day was filled with fun sports activities, stilt walker extraordinaire Doug the Great, face painter Sunshine Expressions by Ray, music by Bevy and Beans, delicious pizza from Domino’s, hot dogs from Giant Tiger, demonstrations by Brantford Chess Club, entertaining mascots Bruiser from Brantford Bulldogs and Midas from Laurier Brantford.

A special thank you to bronze medalist Erika Polidori (softball), silver medalist Garrett Riley (sledge hockey), rising stars Jessica La Ronde (softball), Olivia Calbeck (rowing), Owen Paquette (boxing), and Addison Paquette (track & field) for attending our event.

Thank you to Rogers TV, Lite 92.1 FM, Hot Country 93.9 FM, Brantford Bulldogs and the Doug Hunt Team for their involvement and support.

A big thank you to all our volunteers for helping make the day an overall success. We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the day.

During the evening a special celebration took place to recognize 25 years as the Tournament Capital of Ontario.

The Brantford Sports Council would like to thank the City of Brantford, MP Larry Brock, MPP Will Bouma, Mayor Kevin Davis, Councillors John Sless and Richard Carpenter for attending and being part of the evening.

Thanks to Arika from Vodka Friday for providing samples of their products; a special thank you to Patti Berardi from Rogers TV for creating a visual presentation that showcased 25 years as the TCO.
