Brantford Sports Council Questionnaire

1. Why did you choose to run in this election?
The reason , I chose to run as a Councillor. There is growing Muslim and Indian community in ward 2 and there is no voice for them.

2. How would you describe yourself to the voters?
I describe myself as :
Honest, educated, time , energy ,Passion and new ideas for the ward. Speak other languages.

3. What would you like the voters to know about you?

4. What is your number one priority if you are elected?
If elected, number one priority is ward 2 main issue “Power Outage”
I would introduce Solar energy Panels in ward 2. Solar energy is more cost effective than regular electricity. Solar energy system creates new jobs and help local economies.

5. If elected, what are 3 steps that you would take to ensure our community is on a firm financial footing?
1. Healthy Resource Coach program.
2. Emergency hardship program.
3. Better/more infrastructure (Roads, hospitals,bridges).

6. If someone came up to you with a proposal to build a new public infrastructure in our city (i.e. bridge, road, facility, park etc.), how would you evaluate whether the project was worth implementing?
1. Payback period analysis.
2.Net present value.
3. choosing the right method for needs.

7. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city any way you wanted, what would you do with the funds?
As a sportsman (Cricket) . I would propose a mini cricket stadium with cemented pitch (Cricket Academy) to promote the sports as we have a big talent to produce the players to National level. (World Cup)

8. Where are your favourite places to spend time in your neighbourhood and in the community?
As a member of Paris Muslim Association and we meet every other weekend.

9. The Pandemic has been with us for the past three years and no one has been left untouched, what are the 3 key things you would do to overcome the impact of the Pandemic as we move forward in 2023 and 2024?
Its natural to feel stress, anxiety , grief and worry during Covid-19 pandemic.
