Olympian Erika Polidori joins official Fall opening of Sports Complex

The Brantford Sports Council in partnership with Access Storage and their participating youth sport groups were pleased to have Tokyo Bronze Medalist Erika Polidori at the official Fall re-opening of the Access Storage Sports and Entertainment Complex this past Saturday.
Celebration of Sports

This inaugural event allowed the Brantford Sports Council to showcase all the sport groups and engage with all our community stakeholders. The Sports Council are continuing to schedule a variety of events in promoting youth sport in our community. The event was one of a number of Youth Sport Recognition initiatives that have been planned in supporting and promoting our members and recognizing all those that contribute to making youth sport a success in our community including Athletes, Teams, Coaches, Volunteers and Sponsors.
2020 Sportsperson of the Year

The Brantford Sports Council has hosted the presentation of the Tomlin Award for the past 15 years as part of their annual Sports Recognition Banquet. Unfortunately there was no banquet this year due to Covid-19, however the Brantford Sports Council arranged to pre-record a presentation that was released in February.
2020 Sportsperson of the Year Congratulations

The Brantford Sports Council announced that Alison Purkiss was the recipient of the Frank Tomlin Memorial Award for the 2020 Sportsperson of the Year. Alison joined an exclusive group of past recipients who have significantly contributed to sport in Brantford and area. The award named after Frank Tomlin is sponsored by the Brantford Bisons Alumni and has been presented annually since its inception in 1976.
Cavalcade of Sports

The Cavalcade of Sports program was developed and launched in the fall of 2019. It wasn’t just a one-day program but a year-round activity to promote and support community engagement and fundraising initiatives for participating groups and organizations in our community.
