Aiden Wassing started playing ball hockey at the age of 9, as a defenseman with Bhi Brantford.
The following two years he played goalie and at the age of 10, he won the Most Improved Player of
the year. At the age of 12 he was invited to try out for Team Canada Juniors for ball hockey, as a
goalie, and although he didn’t make the cut his passion for the game remains strong.
Aiden is 14 in his second year playing ice hockey with the Brantford Community Hockey League.
During his first year he won a team award The Scoop, for his dedication to the game. It is now his
first year playing on a rep team as well as house league for the Brantford Saints.
The Brantford Saints had the opportunity to play the Toronto Marlies at the Coca Cola Colliseum
in December and also took part in the Tournament of Friends held at the Gretzky Centre, this past
November. He is constantly at the rink and always willing to lend a hand if someone needs help.
Aiden is a grade 9 student at Brantford Collegiate Institute and volunteers for the Take A Shot
program run by BCHL; this program introduces 8-12 year olds to the sport of hockey.
When he’s not playing hockey, he also enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family.
